TellMePrompter Privacy Policy
Your scripts, voice and videos stay on your device unless you share them or enable backups or syncing. The app does not automatically send them to us. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. We do not sell personal data.
This policy covers TellMePrompter for iPhone and iPad, wherever you use it. Apple handles purchases and optional backups and syncing. We receive the information you choose to send to support.
Who we are. Filip Kiernozek, ul. Marsowa 9, 07-410 Zabrodzie, Polska, is responsible for the personal data we process (the “data controller”). Contact: support@kiermates.dev.
Data on your device
- Scripts. Your texts stay in the app until you delete them.
- Camera and microphone. With your permission, the camera previews and records video. The microphone records your voice and lets the text follow your speech. Apple’s speech recognition runs on your device. A language model may need to be downloaded from Apple first.
- Unfinished takes. These stay in the app until you save your video or choose not to keep them. The app also deletes leftover takes older than 24 hours when it starts. Takes are not included in device backups.
- Saved videos. Saving requires permission to add videos to Photos. Showing them in the Recordings list needs separate permission to read Photos. Sharing sends your video where you choose.
Apple services and backups
Your settings determine whether app data is backed up to iCloud or a computer, and whether videos sync through iCloud Photos. Apple also handles app and speech-model downloads and optional iCloud Keychain syncing. These services follow Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your backups or synced content.
Purchases
Apple handles payments, subscriptions and refunds. We do not receive your card details. The app checks your Pro access through Apple.
The app remembers whether you have used your free first video in your device’s Keychain. This record may remain after reinstalling and sync to your other devices if iCloud Keychain is enabled.
If you contact us
We use your e-mail address, message and attachments to answer you. Support e-mails opened from the app include the app version, device model and iOS version. You can remove these before sending. You choose what to send, but we need enough information to help.
Why we use it. Where needed to provide support under our contract with you, we rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other questions, our legitimate interest is answering enquiries about the app, while respecting your privacy rights (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long. We keep messages until your request is resolved. Afterwards, we keep them only as long as needed to meet legal obligations or establish, pursue or defend a legal claim.
Who handles e-mail. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards messages to our Google (Gmail) mailbox. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the US. Their transfer safeguards include the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, where applicable. Details: Cloudflare and Google.
Your rights
For personal data we hold, you can ask to see, correct or delete it. Where applicable, you can also ask us to limit its use or provide a portable copy, and object to use based on legitimate interests. Contact support@kiermates.dev.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Permissions and deleting data
- Change camera, microphone and Photos permissions in your device settings. Features that need a permission will not work without it.
- Delete scripts in the app and videos in Photos. Removing a video from the Recordings list does not delete it from Photos.
- Deleting the app removes its local scripts, takes and settings. Videos in Photos, shared copies, existing backups and the Keychain record remain. Manage backups and iCloud data in Apple’s settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or erase Apple’s purchase history.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date.
